FLT 120 - Intermediate Aeronautics

This course covers instrument pilot operations required to safely and accurately operate an airplane under Instrument FlightRules (IFR) within the National Airspace System. It includes a study of the operation of airplane flight instruments and navigation equipment, meteorology, Federal Aviation Regulations pertinent to instrument flight, air traffic control procedures, flight physiology and instrument approach procedures. The course also includes preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instrument rating written examination.  A grade of “B” or better is required to complete this course as well as 80% on the Stage/EOC exams along with mandatory attendance requirements. In addition, students are required to take five hours of simulator training. This course must be taken concurrenty with the start of Instrument Flight Training at our contracted flight school. FAA RATP Qualified.
