ATC 585 - Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Initial Tower CAB Training- Pre- Evaluation Block 10 1.5 credit(s) This is a pre-run prior to the FORMAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION by the Designated ATC Examiners (DATCE). The fee for the DATCE is separate from this course.
Students run two Local Control problems and two Ground Control problems prior to outside evaluations completed by other than the assigned instructor.
Performance Evaluations consists of the following:

Prebrief

Scenarios at level 6 traffic complexity

Students are tested twice on Local Control and twice on Ground Control position.

Each run-on Local Control is worth 30 points towards your final score

Each run-on Ground Control is worth 15 points towards your final score

A separation error on either a ground or local problem may be considered a failure.

Debrief NOTE: The forms used for Performance Evaluation on Local Control and Ground Control can be found in a separate handout titled, “Performance Evaluation Forms and TSS Grading Guidelines.”
This course uses a cumulative scoring system. A final score of 80.0% (Calculated) or higher must be achieved for successful completion as well as before being recommended to the FAA Designated ATC Examiner for evaluation under ATC590.
