See Attached listing of required courses to be completed within the time specified with a grade of 70% or better. To qualify for the FAA Evaluation (ATC 590 ) a student is required to have a score of 80% or better in the pre-evaluation (ATC 585 ). The final score by the FAA Designated Examiner in the evaluation (ATC 590 ) must be 70.0% or better to receive the recommendation from the college to the FAA.
All courses require Department approval as the cap is to be set to “0” to ensure all requirements have been met prior to entry.
This certificate program is meant for students that have a Bachelors, Associates, or combination of 3 years verifiable work experience
Additionally, this program requires the ATSA - Air Traffic Skills Assessment Exam which is given only in January, and July each year. Also, a student must have earned a rating of Best or Well Qualified on the ATSA which can only be taken once each year with the last exam rating counted..
Finally,You must be under the age of 31 on the date of application submission.
A maximum age of 30 years is established for initial entry into air traffic control positions (2152 series) covered by Public Law 92-297. Persons who have reached their 31st birthday may not be appointed to these positions.
All sections of the required courses will be assigned either a section 35 for virtual, and/or Section 5 for in-person.
