FLT 101 - General Aeronautics I


3 credit(s)
This course covers the first half of the Private Pilot curriculum. Topics include aeronautical decision making, airplane systems and instruments, aerodynamics, the National Airspace System, sources of flight information, and Federal Aviation Regulations. A grade of B or higher is required to complete this course. All students taking this course will utilize five hours of simulator lab time to enhance the Private Pilot and/or ATC-CTI curriculum.  An FAA First Class medical certificate is highly recommended, and financial counseling is required for students in the Aircraft Operations program. FAA RATP Qualified
Corequisite(s): FLT 101L and FLT 101A
