FLT 120AS - Intermediate Aeronautics 4 credit(s) This course covers instrument pilot operations required to safely and accurately operate an airplane under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) within the National Airspace System. It includes a study of the operation of airplane flight instruments and navigation equipment, meteorology, Federal Aviation Regulations pertinent to instrument flight, air traffic control procedures, flight physiology and instrument approach procedures. . A grade of “C” or better is required to complete this course. In addition, as part of a laboratory experience, students are required to take five hours of simulator training. THIS COURSE IS NOT PART 141 QUALIFIED. Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in FLT 102AS Corequisite(s): FLT 120ASL
