PHY 120 - Physics I 3 credit(s) A first physics course for freshmen in both the bachelor and associate programs. This course is an introduction to classical mechanics and covers statics, kinematics, Newton’s three laws of motion, vectors and rotational motion, including Newton’s law of gravitation and conservation laws. Laboratory experiments enhance lecture topics. 3 credits lecture, 1 credit lab Prerequisite(s): MAT 109 , MAT 109L or equivalent Corequisite(s): PHY120L and MAT 115
