MCT 265 - Automation Industry Machinery and Equipment

The course explains the basics of the theory, operation, and maintenance of equipment found in industry environments with a focus on robotics and automation devices, including a study of general mechanical aspects of the equipment, wiring symbols and diagrams, relay ladder logic, and three-phase power. Motors are also introduced in the course as well as various switches and contactors, reversing contacts, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) for control.
Prerequisite(s): MCT 117   and MCT 117L
